1936 - Spain fights Fascism! Young volunteers from many nations came to the aid of Spain and the Spanish people by offering their lives in defense of freedom. 2,800 of these volunteers were American’s that became known at the Abraham Lincoln Brigade.
In Search of The Lincoln Brigade relives this defining battle through the eyes of eleven of the Brigade’s survivors. They recount the battles, the fatalities and what happened to them upon their return to the United States. All of them suggest that if the World had come to the aid of Spain, World War II might have been avoided, or at the very least, minimized.
